The last 1 year has been ripe with restaurant openings, but still on top of most diners’ lists is Zaika Lounge.Â
Comes as no surprise, though. I mean, have you seen the space?! – gold accents, giant chandeliers, stunning paintings, humorous artworks – What about their food? Made using the finest and freshest ingredients, prepared using traditional Indian, Malay, Chinese, Mughlai, and Western cooking techniques.Â

Kuongezea they have Countless offers running through the week, cocktails that are as beautiful as they are potent, amazing service, balcony views of the city of Champions, and don’t get me started on their drink collection 😀.
Zaika Lounge celebrated its 5th anniversary on 23rd December, which was a splendid experience. Eldoretians turned up in masses, filling the space to the brim.

You were greeted with the warmest of smiles and a rose upon entry. DJ Daphrey started the night nice and easy as guests settled in and placed their orders. Her set was followed by that of Jazz The Deejay, DJ VL, and Deejay Aleky.

The hype, the energy! Don’t think I sat down for more than 10 minutes in a row🤣. Ilikua banger after banger🥵. Kento had the honor of being the MC of the night. Such a vibe.
The crowd was wild, hearty laughter, just the right amount of tipsy, dancing without a care in the world. The restaurant also hired 2 amazing dancers for the night and put on a show they did.

For me, the most special part of the night was the cake-cutting ceremony. Music came to a momentary pause, the staff was ushered out of the kitchen, and we all gathered around the cake, which was a work of Art itself.

Himal and Daktari shared a warm heartfelt hug. A shared,” we are still here, look what we’ve created; thank you for being by my side in this venture, ” kinda hug. Himal then lit the candle sparklers, and together, they cut the cake as we screamed and shouted in celebration; then the music came back up, and more dancing ensued.

In between the DJ sets, we also enjoyed Karaoke hosted by Getty. The night ended in the funniest twerking circle. Diners also enjoyed 15% off their total bill.

To Mr. Himal and Daktari, thank you for elevating Eldoret’s cuisine culture and creating such a beautiful Zaika Lounge space. Eldoret will remember you. At least, all Eldoret foodies with a taste for the fine things will😅.
