You will now pay 100/- to replace lost ID Card

Kenyan citizens seeking to replace their national ID cards will now be subjected to pay 100 shillings due to the reintroduction of the fee which had been scrapped.

Director of National Registration Reuben Kimotho on the 13 March 2018 directed all Sub-county Registration Officers to ensure that 100 shillings are charged for processing a duplicate ID card.

The amount will however not be charged to persons applying for the very first time for an ID card.

Charging of the amount takes effect from Thursday, March 15, 2018.
