The Countdown To Kitenge Fashion Fest 3rd Edition Has Officially Started. Do You Have Your Ticket Yet?

The countdown to Kitenge Fashion Fest and Awards has officially started and we are beyond ecstatic. The event, which is making a comeback for the 3rd time, is a cultural arts and fashion event that brings together E-Town’s fashion, music and art industry and depicts it in all its glory.  Kitenge Fashion Fest and Awards appreciates the beauty and versatility of the African Kitenge fabric. Additionally, it creates a platform for Eldoret creatives and entrepreneurs to network, showcase their work and grow.

This Year’s Kitenge Fashion Fest

This year’s Kitenge Fashion Fest is taking place at Rupa’s Mall on the 29th of February.  The theme is Fashion Against Gender Based  Violence and there will be a long day seminar to discuss the issue at large before the fashion gala itself starts.

Like always, the event is brought to you by E254 Entertainment, a company owned by the legendary Mc Nick.  He, or should I say the team, has partnered with major players in Eldoret as well. These include Moran events, Moovers Entertainment, BIG Afrique Events, and Kim photography.

As for sponsorships, the list is quite extensive. Starting from Mwanga Gas to Diesel power, Zaika, Aquadent, Pauls bakery, Shado makeup, Andy’s, Sky cake house, Knaan motors, and Event o’. That alone tells you the event will be major, a revolutionary event for Eldoret’s Fashion Industry if we’ll executed.

What To Expect During Kitenge Fashion Fest 3rd Edition

There will be a lot of activities going down on the set date. First on the list is the open forum seminar which will look at the rise of gender based violence especially in young relationships. It might sound like a snooze fest for most youngings but it’s actually important.

It was not long ago that  MOI University student Ivy was murdered by her lover and that is just but one of the many incidents we are witnessing. So it is something that needs to be discussed. Sorry to have brought that up in the midst of an article that is about pomp and glamor but it needed to be addressed. Moving on swiftly, and to the more interesting parts😅….

After the seminar, there will be a cocktail session for VIP ticket holders, sponsors, and partners. Watu WA regular oyaaaa😂😂😂.  Meanwhile, there will be art exhibitions going on. Incase you see something you like, you can purchase it at that time, so carry some change with you.

The end of the cocktail session will usher in the fashion gala which is the main event of the night.  There will be 15 fashion Designers, 20 professional models, 10 stylists, 2 artists, 2 Djs and
2 Mcs. I can already picture the glam, the extravagance, the lights as beautiful people strutting down the runway, and the music.

The catwalk session will have music breaks during which 2 major artists who are yet to be revealed and upcoming talents will perform.  Thereafter there will be an award session for:
