Self-Quarantine? No Worries, here’s a list of movie recommendations you’ll enjoy

Well, It’s almost been a week since the president gave the country the horrid news of the confirmed cases of Coronavirus infections in Kenya and the adverse effects Covid-19 pose. This news came with a raft of bans to social events; no more dundaing for a month or so, no trainings, schools were suspended temporarily and employers asked to let their staff work from home if possible.

This means a whole lot of time on my hands. Some of us are using this time for introspection, wondering if things are ever going to be the same again but if you’re like me and have nothing much to introspect, no work to do at home, no Sherehee, then you’ll agree with me that this is THE best time to do some binge-watching, yes?  Two words, hell yeah!!💃

As we are still on partial lock-down here are some movie recommendations that you should definitely check out in this moment of quarantine.

Mr Nobody Self-quarantine Movie

There are two types of movies, the first category is just normal movies that you find interesting to watch maybe after reading through a review or watching a trailer. The second category is the movies that you just watch to pass time just because you have nothing else to watch.

In all honesty MR. NOBODY fell in the second category till I decided to give it a shot. The movie depicts the struggle that we face when it comes to making choices in life. A young boy stands on a station platform. The train is about to leave, should he go with his mother or stay with his father? An infinity of possibilities rises from this decision. As long as he doesn’t choose anything is possible and every life deserved to be lived. If you enjoy movies that get you thinking then this might be just what you need to get through 2hrs 37min of quarantine. Check out the trailer 👇🏼

Bloodshot Self-quarantine Movie

Bloodshot is the solid escapist that you could use right now. After he and his wife are murdered, marine Ray Garrison is resurrected by a team of scientists and he becomes a superhuman, biotech killing machine – Bloodshot. As Ray first trains with fellow super-soldiers, he cannot recall anything from his former life. But when his memories flood back and he remembers the man that killed both him and his wife, he breaks out of the facility to get revenge, only to discover that there’s more to the conspiracy than he thought.

Bloodshot is the latest blockbuster starring my long time crush Vin Disel😬. I could start on 101 reasons why he be the one but hey, the guy serves us some pretty nice energy and action in his movies. Definitely one for the big screen, the upside is that the movie is showing at Rupa’s Mall Cinemas every day this week, check out their social media page to see showtimes. Watch trailer:

Onward Self-quarantine Movie

We have all lost someone close to us and wished we could have more time with them. Onward is an animation about two teenage elf brothers who go on a journey to discover if there is still a little magic left out there in order to spend one last day with their father, who died when they were too young to remember him.
This movie will have you shed tears hata kama ukona roho ya concrete so brace yourselves. It has a lot of life lessons that are relatable for both adults and kids. The movie is also showing at Rupa’s Mall Cinemas this week follow their social media handles for showtimes. Watch Onward trailer:

Sextuplets Self-quarantine Movie

Imagine growing up thinking that you are an only child just to find out you have five other siblings. Marlon Wayans really gives his all into the characters. The movie will have you laughing the whole time, every new character is funnier than the last one. You should definitely look for this movie. Watch trailer:

Get a pack of popcorns that you can pop at home because they will come in handy during this time. Stay safe and enjoy!
