In a bid to improve service delivery, Safaricom has unveiled a set of products that are meant to enhance experience for customers on its network. The products include; Safaricom Guarantee, My Data Manager & My Subscriptions. All of these products are freely available on any handset countrywide.
Safaricom CEO, Bob Collymore said that the company has invested billions of shillings annually to build the best network for Kenya. He also acknowledged the fact that there is a great deal of opportunity to enhance the experience on the network for a better customer experience.
He also said that the collection of products being launched aim to provide customers with increased control over the services they use on the network
All Safaricom customers that will happen to experience a dropped call will be compensated by being given a minute worth of airtime on their phone. (A dropped call according to Safaricom is whenever a call is cut short due to poor reception. ) The customer will get an SMS notification and receive the airtime compensation. This service could be a misused and therefore Safaricom has capped the number of times you can access the service to a maximum of five times a day.
My Data Manager
Initially when you ran out of data, the network would automatically switch to airtime usage, not anymore. My Data Manager allows the customer control data usage on their phone whereby they can choose to have their internet eat into their airtime or the session to end until they purchase more data bundles. You can access My Data Manager by dialing *100# for the PrePay and *200# for the post pay customers.

With the many subscription services that have been rolled out, Safaricom has set out to ease customer experience with this one of a kind service that allows customers view their active subscription, be it Data, SMS and/or the Premium Rate Services.
This service allows the customers remove the unwanted subscriptions or add more subscribe services.
