Moi University Students at Eldoret West Campus Faculty of Education took to the streets to protest against the absence of lectures in class since the semester started early this year.

The angered students hauled stones vandalising the University bus, smashed their class windows and attempted to barricade the Eldoret-Uganda highway forcing the police to use teargas to disperse the rowdy protestors and avert further damage.
Justifying their cause of action, student leader Kipkeino Rono had this to say;
“We have been pressurised to clear fee balances with only one month left before we sit for end of year exams, yet no teaching has been ongoing at the University”
This comes barely three months after the students went on strike over exam transcripts and later left to count their losses.
Below are photos of the damages caused by the strike.
