When you get to spend time somewhere, you inevitably get to familiarise yourself with the place more than you bargained for. It doesn’t matter how clear-eyed you are at the start, that reality check will hit you sooner than later. Most likely it can trigger dislike. And we all know the bottomless pit that that train of thought can lead to! But since I arrived at Origin Coffee House, that hasn’t been the case.
A couple of hours on and am still as ecstatic about the space as when I first walked in. Origin coffee House is a new restaurant along Kisumu Road; it is located on the ground floor left wing of Elgon view mall. The state-of-the-art restaurant space is to die for. It is endowed with its signature black and white shades; together with highly polished mahogany overlays carefully crafted to suit the brand standard.

Its tasteful interior design is characterised by thoughtful open service area to ensure customers are served on sight of the staff and the process. Aligning the service area are the displays in accordance to the type of service, be it coffee, the pastry case, gelaterio…name them! Neatly and tactically anchored on the walls are artsy décor pieces handpicked to complement not only the aesthetic but the personality representation of the space.
Similarly, bringing the whole space to life are the large windows almost floor to ceiling ushering in light to brighten up your experience at the space. You definitely should consider coming to witness its view from outside at night. Magnificent!
Additionally, with both the ground floor as well as upstairs; Origin Coffee House, Eldoret hosts a total of 182 seating spaces. It helps that the Elgon view mall has ample parking space of about 190 vehicles so you can count on the convenience. The location as well is just right, with just 6 minutes from the Eldoret CBD.
What is more, amazingly, are the staff. From the directors to the other staff, it definitely feels like home. Not to mention the level of modernity and technology used to bring you that delicious and exquisite dish, just they way you like it.
