On this week’s edition of My WCW we traversed the land and found our way to Kampala Uganda where we caught up with Metrine Kisha. Alias Trinie. She is an Eldoret resident from Roadblock estate.
Trinie moved to Kampala Uganda a few years ago where she had gone to study but took up modeling as a side gig. In no time she became one of the most renowned models in the city and managed to garner multiple awards. Trinie was crowned Miss Kampala University twice in a row. This is one of the most coveted awards in Kampala because aside from having the title you also win a Brand New Car. She was also crowned The Interuniversity Fashion awards overall winner 2015 to name but a few.
During her reign she engaged in many activities. She got to interact with children, carried out nationwide fundraising events for orphans. She also participated in motivational talks for girls and youth where she encouraged them to aspire to be better.
BH: How did you start out in UG as a model.
Trinie: I went to à modelling school called international school of modelling that helped me kick start my modelling career though it was kind of tough since I was studying at Kampala International University at the time. However, I’ve always loved modelling from my childhood days, it has always been in me. I always took part in fashion shows at school and when I went to Kampala I didn’t hesitate to join a modelling school and rock the run way.
BH: Other than the love for modeling. Why do you it? Where do you get your inspiration?
Trinie: Modelling has given me a platform to reach out to the community, help the orphans, inspire the youth and I basically love all the pomp and glamour that comes with it.
BH: Where do you see yourself in five years?
Trinie: I see myself shopping without looking at price tags.
BH: What is your day like, say a weekend?
Trinie: I’m usually busy on weekdays so I usually love resting on weekends, probably go swimming, sauna or have a steam bath or just catch up with friends that’s only if I don’t have events I’m featured in.
BH: Do you have an embarrassing moment, What was it?
Trinie: Lol. Obviously Yes. But ill kindly pass on that
BH: What is the one things that most people don’t know about you?
Trinie: I’m a born again Christian. I take Jesus business very seriously.
BH: What’s your feeling on ‘Game of Thrones’?
Trinie: Haven’t watched that yet. LOL
BH: If you were a superhero. Who would you be?
Trinie: Probably Catwoman
BH: What Star are you, what do you find most interesting about this Star.
Trinie: I’m a Cancer. Most Cancers are loyal and full of empathy which makes Cancers rock.
BH: Iphone or Samsung?
Trinie: I’m an Android person,
BH: What is your guilty pleasure?
Trinie: Shopping, I do that without a budget making it hard for me to save.
BH: Give me three qualities of the Ideal Man for you.
Trinie: God Fearing, Faithful and good looks are a plus
BH: What do you like most about Eldoret Town?
Trinie: I find Eldoret to be calm and peaceful, as compared to the hustle and bustle of Kampala. Whenever I want my peace I run to Eldoret.
BH: What are your parting shots?.
Trinie: All that we are is a result of what we think. The mind is very powerful, for what we think is what we become, even the bible says “as a man thinketh so is he” so imagine if all of us had only positive thoughts, where would we all be?
