Born 28 years ago and raised in Kisumu County, Eric Odhiambo Okello aka Ricc Berry is an Eldoret-based musician who is currently taking the airwaves by storm.
Ricc Berry works as a barista at Members Premier in Eldoret town.
He cleared his O Levels in 2003 at Thurdibuoro High School where he attained a B (plain).
In an interview with Eldoret Leo, the soft spoken artiste talked about how he failed to join the university to pursue Journalism due to lack of school fees.
“My mum passed away in 2003 when I was preparing to sit for my Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations. Luckily, well-wishers came my way who supported me to the end,” said Ricc Berry.
After school, he worked at Nairobi Art Café where he attained skills in preparing coffee. He previously worked as a barista at Nova Café at Zion Mall in the heart of Eldoret Town.
He is skilled in preparing coffee varieties ranging from Cappuccino, latte, Mocha, Machiatto, Espresso to House Coffee.
He fully ventured into music last year and did his first song Number Sita which was produced by Cymphony Media in Eldoret.
“I recorded Number Sita, after I broke up with my girlfriend. This love song, even though failed to receive much airplay as I had expected I went on to work on my second song iPad.
Ricc Berry said he was motivated to do music while still in school because he used to sing a lot way back then.
He has also recorded Nakulilia at Grandpa Records, a song that talks about a lady he was dating.
Currently, he is doing a media tour with his new hit song Niwewe produced and released last month.

The 28-year old says that he dedicated the new hit song to Nicah the Queen, Dr Ofweneke’s ex-wife who he claims he has a huge crush on.
“Let me put things straight for Nicah the Queen. I may die before I say so, let her hear from me that I love her despite all the tribulations and problems she has undergone. I think I’m the man who can make her happy,” said the artist.
On Tuesday evening, he premiered the video which was shot in Nairobi’s arboretum and directed by Twister on Mseto East Africa at Club Tribeka in Nairobi. The audio was produced by Elmazu Empire.
On Tuesday, he appeared on Y254 TV’s Y in The Morning Show where he also launched the new video.
He has also been hosted on Bungoma based West FM where he launched the niwewe audio as he intensified his media tours.
