This would make my half step debut back to writing, writers block had had me a good one, and cheap whiskey. But that’s story for another day. Now, I’m not a beer connoisseur, my palate is not as refined to distinguish every little detail in taste but I’m a sucker for freebies, so I stumble on this poster on Facebook, says buy two beers get one free. It’s for an establishment familiar to me, Zaika Lounge, so I tag a buddy of mine along. Taariq Ngobia, we both write so we get along easy.
He doesn’t have writers block and I challenge him to run me review. He takes on the challenge albeit half hearted gives me a piece, I suspect written on phone on cab ride and probably was a bit tipsy, he sent the piece via WhatsApp (Smiley) it’s darn good.
Here goes.
Zaika Lounge at Eldoret Rupa’s Mall continues to draw large crowds, since it opened its doors to the public. When I recently made my long overdue visit to this posh pub that boasts an expansive lounge and an exquisite array of service, I understood why. The ambience is inviting, the waiters were amazing and the happy hour music was great!
I tried their offer on Craft beers and enjoyed mugs of Nyatipa and Kifabock.
Nyatipa is a malt, deep copper coloured style pale ale, it has a head of foam, well rounded, medium bodied and a distinct bitter taste. This is ideal for lovers of hops.
Kifabock is a golden brown Belgian beer with an intense flavcoupled with chocolatey and caramel overtones, a lightly hopped aroma and a golden brown colour.
My best choice of the two is Kifabock. Enjoy it. Don’t abuse it.
