Don The Mixologist, the resident mixologist at the Rupa’s Mall establishment was kind enough to share their whisky sour cocktail recipe with us and we’d like to pass it along.
Perfect experiment for the next time you are having friends over.
Ingredients For The Whisky Sour
- Whisky 60ml
- Ice cubes
- Lemon juice 30ml, freshly squeezed
- Sugar syrup 30ml— If you don’t have sugar syrup you can easily make it by mixing equal parts water and white sugar and bringing it to a boil then letting it cool. For example, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water. If you fancy a caramel-like syrup, swap white sugar with brown.
- Angostura bitters
- Orange wedge for garnishing
In a shaker add ice, lemon juice, sugar syrup, and whisky then shake and pour the mixture into a whisky glass.
Add a dash of Angostura bitters and garnish with a lemon wedge. Simple as that, your whisky sour is ready.
