For what it’s worth, I don’t get what all the hype about Valentine’s Day is about. Haters will say I’m just being bitter because the nigga I’m seeing is yet to make any plans. ?. Maybe I am. But apparently valentine’s is today. And love is supposed to be in the air?. So here I am, writing about what the streets of Eldoret have to offer, so you can make your loved ones happy. Talk of being selfless?.

Usually, these kind of articles go like take her to the movies, buy her flowers and chocolate, bleh bleh bleh. I’d like to switch it up a bit however. Because let’s face it,  the ideal date for someone is very different from that of another.  Case in point, this meme⬇️

For The Outdoor Loving Couple

If you have an active outdoor lover for a partner,  Kipkaren River Resort has quite the deal this valentine’s period.  A weekend gateway where you get to enjoy zip lining, cycling, archery, horse riding, games, outdoor photography and a half board meal plan. The getaway starts on Saturday at 7 a.m and ends at 7:00p.m on Sunday which makes it a 2 day 1 night long sorta baecation. How much does it cost. Ksh 4999 per person. ?

First up is The Well Irish Pub and Restaurant. On Valentine’s day, you get to enjoy a 4 course meal at Ksh 2500 only  for the both of you. This is inclusive of either a glass of wine, juice, or craft beer.

Additionally, for an extra Ksh 800, you get yourselves a ticket to Rupa’s Mall Cinemas!!! This is a pretty good bargain since a ticket usually goes for Ksh 600.

Second is Zaika Lounge. Mwalimu Kendagor will be performing and for Ksh 1600 per person, you get a rose for your girl, one round of cocktails and a four course meal. A gift hamper will also be issued to the best couple.

Third on the list is Sixty Four Resort. They will be having a 64 valentine special. Couples will get to indulge in a four course meal and a glass of wine each for Ksh 4000 per couple. Alternatively, they can go for The Love BBQ Platter going for Ksh 3000 per platter. All ladies will also get a free rose as a compliment.

Boma Inn comes in at number 4. Their valentine’s  offers have been running since 8th February and will continue to do so till the 16th. During this period, a bed and breakfast accommodation reservation will set you back Ksh 5750 per person. It will also be complimented with chocolate truffels and a rose.

Ksh 5600 will get you and your loved one a welcome drink, a candle lit 4 course dinner, and a rose for the lady all while enjoying live band music. Additionally, for every massage, you get a complimentary sauna or steam bath session, a rose, and a drink.

Last on my list is Eldoret Sports Club Club House. If you want to spoil your person but your budget is a bit constrained, this is for you. Imagine, for Ksh 1000 per couple, you get to have a special dinner, a glass of red Wine,and a rose flower for the lady.  Gift hampers will also be given to the first five couples.

This year’s valentines day falls on a Friday and Friday is a day to let lose and partay. Ik technically taking someone to the club is not considered a date but it can be. Life’s too short, screw norms.  Anyhu, yes, if you’d rather be partying, there are 3 spots you should check out.

Number 1 is Blue Lounge, the current love of my life. When it comes to clubs anyway. As of 6:00 p.m, the first 20 ladies will get a glass of wine. The first 100 ladies will also get a rose flower and chocolate. Yes, you heard that right. Free chocolates people. There will also be a William Lawson activation so if you are a fan, good things await. As far as music is concerned, I’m yet to be disappointed.

The third club doing something for Valentines is Panvilla. DJ Vosti Spartan will be playing assisted by Ray Raphael Entertainment. A gift hamper will be awarded to the best dressed couple and every lady will get a rose.

For The Philanthropic Couple

If you and your mama are big into charity, you can join Big Afrique Events and team as they visit Eldoret GK Prisons.  The event dubbed Love Beyond Bars, will kick off at 8a.m upto 4p.m.  Among planned activities include dancing, singing, an interactive session and of course eating.
