I love food. Good food anyway. Literally, if anyone invites me to their place or for a house party, the first question I usually ask is, will there be food?
Arriving At Bean & Cream
We got there a little past 6 PM. I can’t recall the exact time. The cafe or is it a restaurant, has taken up residence at Sirgoi Plaza along hio street ya Yako Supermarket just before the Milk ATM at the roundabout.
I have to say that was a big plus for me. I really hate having to wash my hands. The water is cold, and I have to find somewhere to place my phone and handbag so that I don’t get any water on them. Aargh, it’s so annoying and inconvenient?. So I was very grateful for the dash of sanitizer on my hands. Sisi hao upstairs straight to the balcony.

I have a thing for balconies. You can, however, sit downstairs

or upstairs.

Our Dining Experience at Bean & Cream Coffee House
It didn’t take long for the waitress to bring us menus compared to Keno Coffee house. I ordered rice and liver and my boss ordered chips masala. Bean & Cream prices are very favorable if you are to factor in the quality of service and the lovely ambiance.
I think wanauza chipo 150 or 200. Chips masala was 250 which is the same price you’d buy it at your not so fancy go-to restaurant.
Unfortunately, there was no liver so I changed my order to pilau. We also ordered coffee because we are sophisticated like that?. His was a latte

and mine a Caffè macchiato .

The food came shortly after and boy was it a sight to behold. My plate had a mound of pilau beautifully shaped, a cup of real sauce, salad on the side, and a huge chunk of meat.

His looked good too.

So inviting that I found myself digging in 2/3 times. I’m pleased to inform you the food tasted even better than it looked. The amount was also good coz I couldn’t clear my plate so I got the waitress to pack it up for me as take away.

My Two Cents

Overall, it was a good experience. I’d definitely go back. The lighting is beautiful, the ambience is lovely, the seating arrangement is nice, the food is impeccable, and the view & breeze from the balcony is just something to behold.

If you love coffee, you most definitely have to try any of the many varieties they offer. Popular meals worth trying according to hearsay and Facebook reviews include their Sinia and biryani.
