With the sad passing of former president Mwai Kibaki, we find ourselves with one of the longest combinations of holidays ever recorded in history. A whopping 5 days of paid reset time for the employed but another normal day for those like us, self-employed folk. Now, if you’re going to be spending your time in Eldoret you may need to check out some of the places listed here simply because they are not your ordinary hangout but because they have something different to offer.
Astorian Riverbank
Astorian Garden is a popular establishment in Eldoret, but they now have a brand new location in the heart of Elgon view (Former Sosiani Breeze) known as Astorian Riverbank. This is the newest addition to the Astorian empire which also means all the experience from the past ventures will most likely come together to build the later.
Astorian Riverbank is ideal for all forms of get-togethers be it friends or family visits. Notice the child-friendly pool, fully stocked bar as well as food and accommodation.

Caesar’s Waterfront
If you’re up for a mini road trip, Ceasar’s Waterfront should be it for you. Getting there should be easy, you can either use google maps or follow the directions here, should take you about 40 minutes. All in all this place is highly recommended

Rupa’s Mall – Kitenge Festival
Kitenge Festival has been dubbed the event of the year for Eldoret going by 5-year successful run that it commands, if you happen to be in Eldoret this weekend (Saturday) make your way to Rupa’s Mall for an evening of fun and fashion.

Wings23
Other than from a plane, Wings23 has got the best view of Eldoret, if you’ve been postponing a visit to Wings23 then this weekend should be the day you visit this beautiful get that sits on top of Daima towers smack in the middle of Eldoret. You literally cant miss it.

PizzaInn, CreamyInn, and ChickenInn
Competition is rife in the food business as ChickenInn, CreamyInn and PizzaInn have made an entrance into this market earlier on in the month. I’m a huge proponent of ‘BuyBuildEldoret’ but international brands play a huge role in raising the standards for virgin markets such as ours. These three-in-one establishments are located at Highlands Mall which is along Uganda Road, this weekend should be a good time to try them out.

Poa Place – Rumours
Poa place has been going through a transformation and the very famous Club Rumors has undergone major renovations. This weekend Rumors will be relaunching and they have huge offers on choma and drinks.

As you visit these places take some photos and review them on whichever platform you like.
